There are over 23,000 persons experiencing homelessness in Texas. Over 2,200 are families with 4,400 children under the age of 18 and an average age of seven. Nearly 200 children under the age of 18 are unaccompanied (not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian). There are 1,700 Veterans, many with families.

Texas Homeless Network’s legislative policy priorities are a collaborative effort. We invite communities to participate in a group discussion on the top legislation affecting homeless programs around the state.

Together, we can and will end homelessness.
